Mastery and meaningful work are the results of guided play.
This is my mantra. This is what helps me do the work I do, be creative where I can be, and help people along the way.
As an author, I write about productivity. Success is about finding that union between play and work, where what you have in front of you is all there is, knowing that you’ll still meet obligations.
Creating Flow with OmniFocus, Workflow Mastery, and Being Productivity are all my attempts to find that center so you can live life on your terms.
I want to help others to be on top of their work, not be drowned in it.
I’ve also written about the benefits (yes, benefits!) and potential pitfalls of Video Games with Video Game Play and Addiction.
Video games have been a passion of mine for many years. When engaged well, they can hone and focus a way of thinking and organizing for achievement. When played problematically, they can create troubles throughout a person’s life. Video Game Play and Addiction helps parents and kids navigate to have a healthy relationship with video games.
“Success is about finding that union between
play and work…”
Too often, we look at depression or anxiety as problems that are just there. But they tend to come from somewhere, often because we have troubles meeting the world in a way that works for us. I try to help others individually to overcome such difficulties to find their own voice, and begin building the worlds they want.
