OmniFocus is very much an app about doing. It’s not designed with graphical reporting in mind. Here’s a neat app, though, put together by Thomas Schoffelen, that shows a list of open tasks, and completed tasks from the last 7 days, last 3 months, and completed per weekday.
Kourosh – I’d be curious to know what you glean from “tasks completed”? In the past, I found this metric didn’t tell me much – in particular if I threw a whole bunch of everything into my task manager – about the quality of my work and/or productivity. Still, I think gauging progress is an important part of self-development and motivation. For the past year and a bit, I’ve been updating the details pane (in Daylite tasks/projects) with the date/time, and progress taken on a task. This can take the form of feelings, lessons learned, and frustrations. Over time, a neat narrative takes shape, which I read during my Weekly Review.
I don’t get much from it myself, though I do like to visit a Completed Project Perspective during my review sessions. The concept of “narrative takes shape”, I think fits well.
Still, others may be interested in the raw task data.
